Another Gator Football Player Arrested
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (CBSMiami) – Another Florida Gators football player has been arrested. Freshman tight end A.C. Leonard was picked up Wednesday night after a domestic dispute allegedly turned violent.
Leonard was allegedly arguing with a woman he has been living with for the past month when the woman claimed Leonard shoved her with both hands knocking her down. The woman claimed she hit her head on a dog cage behind her.
The woman also told police Leonard tried to drag her by her hair out of the house and then told her to leave. Leonard said he never hit the woman and simply wanted her to leave.
For Gators head coach Will Muschamp, it's just the latest brush with the law for his squad. Since Muschamp took over just over a year ago, 10 different football players have been arrested.
Florida battled a similar problem under former head coach Urban Meyer before he quit on the school.
