Amber Alert For Missing Girl

MIAMI (CBS4) - Drivers in Miami-Dade and Broward will notice the Amber Alert signs along the highways are advising to be on the look out for a 2005 silver Dodge Neon with Virginia tags.

The Amber Alert is for 12-year old Brittany Smith who disappeared from her Salem home last Friday. Police believe Jeffrey Easley, the boyfriend of the girl's dead mother, took Smith and may be headed to Florida.

Smith is five feet tall with brown hair and eyes. Easley is 5'11", 265 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He also has tattoos on upper arms and back. Police said the two may be traveling in the Neon with the license tag number X-K-F 2-3-6-5. Anyone who spots the car, Smith or Easley is asked to call the Roanoke County Police Department at (540) 777-8641 or 911.
