ADP Says Florida Added Jobs In August
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) - Payroll provider ADP said Wednesday that the Sunshine State continued to add jobs during the month of August.
ADP, which conducts its survey separately from the federal government, found that Florida added 13,790 private sector jobs in August. ADP also stated that the growth was just behind Texas for highest in the nation.
However, the jobs that are being added aren't necessarily jobs that pay enough.
ADP noted the largest number of jobs added were service sector jobs and that there was also a decline in manufacturing jobs.
Florida's unemployment rate in July was 7.1 percent and had held steady from June.
