Adopt A Broward Shelter Animal, Earn Chance At Fins Tickets
BROWARD COUNTY (CBSMiami) — It's kick-off time for the NFL football season and Broward County Animal Care and Adoption is joining in on the fun as part of their participation in the 2012 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge.
Through Friday, September 14, Animal Care is offering special adoption fees.
In addition, during the week, those who adopt a dog or cat will receive a chance to win a pair of tickets to a Miami Dolphins game, or a special autographed pennant signed by Dolphins Running Back Daniel Thomas.
New pet adopters will also receive savings coupons from Pet Supermarket for supplies and food.
The ASPCA $100K Challenge is a national adoption event running from August 1 through October 31.
The goal for Broward County Animal Care and Adoption is to find homes for 1,636 animals in the three month period. So far, 431 dogs and cats have found a home since the Challenge began.
The shelter that saves the most lives during the Challenge has the chance to win the top prize of $100,000!
Animal Care has two locations, 1870 S.W. 39 Street, Fort Lauderdale, as well as 3100 N.W. 19 Terrace, Pompano Beach.
Broward County's Animal Care and Adoption is dedicated to providing shelter for lost and surrendered animals as well as the successful adoption of homeless pets. The agency also coordinates the registration of dogs and cats and provides rabies vaccinations to encourage a healthier pet population.
