MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- In a mistake that has caused frustration for some soccer fans - a major retailer misspelled Colombia in a new ad put out during Copa America.
Adidas posted an advertisement with the country misspelled as "Columbia" promoting the third ranked team's jersey.
Some fans posted pictures of the mistake on social media - tagging the German-based company which has their products in some of the biggest countries in the world.
The poster appeared to be in a shop somewhere, possibly in Los Angeles, as indicated by the new LAFC team hat placed below the advertisement.
The company also misspelled the country's name on its website, according to the Huffington Post, but that has since been corrected.
It is unclear how many advertisements the company put out with the misspelling.
Angered fans started a Facebook page called It's Colombia, Not Columbia addressing the misspelling.
As for the team, Colombia played Paraguay Tuesday evening in a Copa America match. Colombia won 2-1. Their next match is set for Saturday where they will play against Costa Rica.
