A Fiery End To A Landlord-Tenant Dispute
MIRAMAR (CBS4) - A landlord-tenant dispute came to a fiery end in a Miramar neighborhood Friday night after a man refused to leave the property.
Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues said officers were called to the home on the 7500 block of Juniper Street where a landlord was arguing with his tenant.
The tenant refused to leave the home, saying he would set the house on fire.
While the suspect was barricaded inside, a fire did break out, forcing the tenant to leave the home through a window.
After leaving the home, the tenant was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation and placed into police custody.
No one on the scene was seriously hurt. It is unknown how much damage the home sustained int he fire.
