Free Health Fair Thursday For Dade Residents
WEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) – If you are in need of a check-up or other health services and simply can't afford it, you're in luck.
There is a free Health Fair for Miami-Dade County residents on Thursday at the Walgreens located on 14190 SW 26 Street.
Families can attend the fair between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Free tests include blood pressure, glucose, HIV, hemoglobin, cholesterol, and much more.
"During this difficult economic climate when people are losing their health insurance, seeing a doctor may not be in financial reach for everyone," said Miami-Dade Commission Chairman Joe Martinez. "This health fair allows residents to seek medical care and advice from professionals in our community and take the initiative in maintaining a healthy lifestyle."
