MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Gardens Police detectives are gathering clues and trying to unravel the mystery of who shot a 51-year-old woman in the front yard of a home.
CBS4 cameras rolled at Jackson Memorial Hospital as the victim arrived there Tuesday night.
CBS4's Carey Codd was told that she was found in the front yard of a home with a gunshot wound to her body and a bullet possibly grazed her head as well.
Police said the woman, who has not been identified, is in good condition.
The scene unfolded at a home near 27th avenue and 173th Street.
Detectives combed the scene for clues.
Codd saw more than a dozen evidence markers on the ground.
People who live nearby said that the woman who resides in the home has lived there a long time and is a wonderful neighbor and a terrific person. They cannot understand why anyone would want to shoot her.
