George W To Appear At Jeb's Dallas Fundraiser

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Jeb Bush will some family style GOP star power at upcoming fundraiser in Dallas.
Former President George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush are the special guests scheduled to appear with the former Florida governor, who is expected to announce in the coming weeks his candidacy for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
It would be the first time former President Bush -- a former Texas governor -- attended a fundraiser for his brother, who has aggressively been raising money from the GOP's top donors for three months for a political action committee.
The news of the Dallas fundraiser came on the heels of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's Monday announcement that he would seek the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
