3 BSO Deputies Arrested, Charged With Felonies
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) -- Three Broward County Sheriff's deputies have been arrested and charged with third-degree felonies following an investigation that alleges they introduced contraband and one had sex with an inmate.
If convicted each charge carries a possible one-year jail sentence.
The corrections deputies, who were assigned to the Broward County Jail, were in court Thursday to face charges; Roderick Lorenzo Lopez, 29, is charged with one count each of introduction of contraband to a detention facility (a cell phone) and official misconduct, His bond has been set at $1,500 for the first count and $1,000 for the second.
Salisia Pascoe, 29 is charged with two counts of using a two-way device to facilitate a felony and also is charged with one count each of sexual misconduct with an inmate and of introduction of contraband to a detention facility. Her bond was set at $3,500.
Kiara Monet Walker is charged with one count each of introduction of contraband to a detention facility, official misconduct and of using a cell phone to facilitate a felony. Her bond was set at $5,000 for each charge.
