2 Hurt, Hollywood Blvd. Shutdown After Major Wreck
HOLLYWOOD (CBS4) – A multi-vehicle crash in Hollywood had a stretch of Hollywood Boulevard shutdown early Wednesday.
The crash took place at Hollywood Boulevard and 52nd Avenue before 7 a.m.
According to Hollywood Police spokesman Lt. Norris Retting, three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Two vehicles were stopped at a red light when a third vehicle, speeding down 52nd Avenue, hit them and then hit a utility pole which then fell over.
Two drivers were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, one of them in serious condition.
Several blocks of eastbound and westbound Hollywood Boulevard were closed in each direction through the crash scene.
