2 Family Pets Die In Lauderhill House Fire
LAUDERHILL (CBS4)- Two family dogs lost their lives after the home they were in went up in flames in Lauderhill.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue crews responded to the home located at 7871 NW 53rd Court at around 10:20 p.m. Friday after receiving several calls. When fire crews arrived they discovered that the single family home was in flames, with flames coming out of the front door and read doors and windows. The entire neighborhood was also filled with thick smoke in the air.
After entering the home, they found two lifeless family dogs. Firefighters brought both dogs out of the home and tried to revive them, but it was not successful.
The family of three adults who lived at the house was not at home at the time of the fire, according to firefighters.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Lauderhill Fire Marshall's Office and the State of Florida Fire Marshall's Office.
