Aventura Officer Involved In Shooting During Armed Robbery
DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) — An Aventura police officer was involved in a shooting late Friday night.
Bob Breeden, Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement's (FDLE's) Public Information Officer, said the shooting occurred while his group—in partnership with North Miami Beach and Aventura Police—were investigating an armed robbery at a Dania Beach convenience store.
While trying to arrest the individuals involved, an Aventura officer was involved in a shooting.
Breeden said the armed robbery was just one of a series of armed robberies in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties that were being investigated by his team in association with North Miami Beach and Aventura police.
