1 Dead, 1 In Custody, In Deadly Pompano Beach Shooting
POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – A fight between two men in Pompano Beach led to a deadly shooting early Thanksgiving morning and one man is in custody.
The shooting took place around 1:20 a.m. in the 900 block of Northwest 8th Avenue.
When BSO deputies arrived on the scene, they spotted Rodnel Toussaint, 30, laying on the pavement with serious injuries.
The suspect, Raymond Joseph, 27, was kneeling by Toussaint's side, said BSO.
Joseph was taken into custody on the scene.
Toussaint was taken to Broward Health North where he later died.
BSO investigators said the two men had been involved in a fight which escalated and resulted in the shooting.
Joseph was arrested and will be charged with second degree murder, according to BSO.
