Homes: What you can buy for $700,000
The snow is melting, and everyone is preparing for a similar warm-up in the housing market. Spring is a prime time for real estate transactions, which tend to slow down during the colder months.
This year, the National Association of Realtors predicts that buyers can find their best deals in the Midwest and the South -- particularly in markets like San Antonio, Texa, and Nashville, Tennessee.
Because we're ready for warm weather, we're taking a look at $700,000 homes for sale in 10 warm Southern state climates.
Most $700,000 properties come with at least a few high-end features. That's unsurprising given these homes cost about 3.8 times the national median home value, which is currently at $184,000, according to Zillow. Hardwood floors, granite or quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances often come standard. Fireplaces are also common, and several of the properties on this list have swimming pools or jetted bathtubs.
Check out these 10 spectacular Southern homes for sale right now. They may not be the most affordable in all of these markets, but they sure are pretty.
