World War II veteran celebrates 108th birthday in Compton
World War II veteran Joe Harris was celebrated in Compton on Saturday as he rang in his 108th birthday. Harris is the last surviving member of the Triple Nickel Paratrooper Unit, the first all African American paratroop unit in the US Army.
