Rare Yellow-billed Loon rescued after being tangled in fishing line in San Pedro
The near-threatened bird is rarely found south of Canada, traditionally spending its time in the high Arctic tundra, but bird watchers noticed it as it swam near the Cabrillo Beach Pier last Friday, wrapped in fishing line that prevented it to move freely.
