Most states do not require lifesaving protocol to treat heat stroke

As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat-related illnesses, but rushing someone who is in distress could put their life in danger. For extreme heat-related illnesses, it is actually recommended that patients are cooled off before transport. But, as David Schechter found, most states do not require that lifesaving protocol.
