Mayor Bass vetoes LAPD reform measure over disciplining officers
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass vetoed a reform measure that would make it easier for the chief of the Los Angeles Police Department to discipline or fire officers as the chief currently can only recommend termination. While it was touted by progressives looking to reform the department, Bass said the would-be ballot measure would cause bureaucratic confusion.
