Local company focuses on environmentally sustainable jeans
Studies show denim manufacturing is one of the most environmentally harmful sectors of the fashion industry. And workers who make some popular brands of jeans have been found to be underpaid and working in unsafe conditions. But local company Neems Jeans, founded by a young Latina, is creating sustainable, custom jeans made in a safe environment by employees paid fair wages. Marci Gonzalez reports.
