Carjacking suspect flees vehicle following pursuit
LASD deputies pursued a carjacking suspect throughout South Gate Wednesday evening. He eventually ran over a set of spike strips, which shredded one of his front and one of his back tires. After he finally slowed his vehicle he attempted to flee from the scene on foot, where he was apprehended moments later by deputies who pursued him on foot.
