The 57-year-old fashion designer was undergoing intake processing Thursday at the Federal Correctional Institution in Lompoc, in Santa Barbara County.
Laughlin is scheduled to be released Sunday, December 27, but a prison policy allows inmates to be released early if their release date falls on a weekend or holiday.
Loughlin, 56, will serve her two-month prison sentence at the federal correctional institution in Victorville for her role in the college admissions scandal, according to court papers.
Prosecutors have recommended that the 56-year-old "Full House" star be sentenced to two months in prison.
