A Los Angeles federal judge has dismissed a sexual harassment claim from Ashley Judd's lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein.
Judd claims that Weinstein defamed her in 1998 by telling Peter Jackson – who at the time was casting for his eventual Oscar-winning "Lord of the Rings" film trilogy – that she was a "nightmare" to work with.
Judd was in the first group of women who came forward last fall about Weinstein's sexual misconduct, putting her at the forefront of the #MeToo movement.
