Young Star Reflects On Closing Of Legendary 'Phantom'
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Show closings are rarely noteworthy. That's show business. Shows open. They close.
But when the star of the show is younger than the show, that is surely worth taking note of.
Paloma Garcia-Lee is one of the youngest performers to star on Broadway and one of the youngest members of the "Phantom of the Opera" national touring company. She plays Meg Giry. And she was the first person cast in the show who was born after the show made its Broadway debut.
The show will close in LA on Halloween (fitting!) and Garcia-Lee will take her final bows with her colleagues.
She was an in-studio guest on the KCAL 9 News at Noon Wednesday to talk about the show, her career (she's also an accomplished ballet dancer) and her very bright future.
