Young Boy Possibly Kidnapped While Walking To School In Palmdale

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the possible kidnapping of a young boy in Palmdale on Tuesday.

The 10 to 13-year-old child, who was walking to school, was reportedly taken around 8 a.m. at 26th Street East and Avenue S.

Two children said the Hispanic boy was grabbed by two men in their mid-30's.

The witnesses said the child was forced into a tan compact pickup truck by the suspects, who were last seen heading west on Avenue S.

The truck had tinted windows with two rear cargo doors and a rear sliding window.

Deputies have gone door to door with volunteers to search for information about the child.

They've also checked with schools to see if any students who did not attend class matched the child's description.

"We haven't identified the boy," said Nicole Nishida from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. "There hasn't been any missing persons that match descriptions of the boy."

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Palmdale Sheriff's Station at (661) 272 2400.
