Worried You've Been Exposed To The Measles?

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  A recent outbreak of measles cases has health officials concerned.

Many of the cases have been linked to Disneyland and adjacent California Adventure Park.

The virus can reportedly hang in the air for up to two hours after an infected person has coughed, officials say. Measles symptoms show up between 10-12 days after exposure and could show up as much as 21 days later.

To that end, officials from various counties have published a list where they say people could have faced possible exposure from some of those people who were infected.

While measles were declared virtually eradicated in the United States by 2000, roughly 60-70 cases will still occur every year.

If you believe you've been exposed to the measles and haven't had it (or two doses of the vaccine), you're asked to call a health care professional.
