Woman Sues Live Nation, AEG Live After Reportedly Suffering Seizure During Jay-Z Concert
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A woman filed suit Monday against the promoters of a Jay-Z concert and the Staples Center after she reportedly suffered a seizure when she was forced to leave her handicapped-reserved seat.
Lola Ramirez said she was told during the December 2011 event to move by a cameraman, who then put a director's chair in her seat for his daughter to use, according to the complaint.
As a result of her stress, Ramirez suffered a five-minute seizure that left her incapacitated for about an hour and she had to leave the concert before the second act, the complaint said.
The personal injury lawsuit was filed against Live Nation Inc., which promoted the concert, and the owners of the Staples Center, AEG Live.
Representatives for the defendants could not be immediately reached.
