Woman Speaks Out About Terrifying Encounter With Home Invasion Robber
BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) – A woman spoke out Monday about her terrifying encounter with a home invasion robber in Buena Park.
CBS2's Greg Mills reported that the suspect walked through an unlocked front door at a residence in the 8300 block of San Capistrano Way around noon.
The victim was inside the home alone, while her husband was in the back gardening.
"He threatened to kill me about two or three times," the woman, who wished to remain unidentified, said. "[I said], 'Get out of my house, what are you doing in here?' And he said, 'Where's your money and where's your jewelry?'"
The woman told the suspect she didn't have any of the things he wanted.
"He had his hand around my waist, he had me pressed to him as tight as he could, and he was poking something in my back, but I had no idea what it was," she said. "Because I was fighting him back…and he kept saying, 'Stop fighting me or I'm gonna kill you.'"
The victim was able to get away and run to get her husband.
The intruder ran off without any cash or jewelry.
Neighbors told the victim the man jumped into a truck that was carting a small dumpster. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants and a yellow vest.
"I'm terrified to be alone now. I'm afraid he'll come back," the woman said.
