Woman shot to death inside truck in Huntington Park
A man and a woman were shot while siting inside of a truck in Huntington Park on Monday evening.
It happened at around 9:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of E. 60th Street between Carmelita Avenue and Corona Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, who were assisting the Huntington Park Police Department with the investigation.
Officers arrived and found a woman suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
A short time later, a second gunshot victim was found in the 4000 block of Slauson Avenue in the city of Maywood, police said.
"Investigators learned the male victim was with the female victim when the shooting occurred and ran from the scene immediately following the shooting," the LASD statement said.
They have not yet identified a possible suspect or motive in the shooting.
