Woman Pleads No Contest In Lady Gaga Ticket Scam
TORRANCE (AP) — A Southern California woman has pleaded no contest to grand theft for selling fake Lady Gaga concert tickets.
Hermosa Beach police Detective Mike Gaglia says 28-year-old Debra Louise Brass bought legitimate tickets for the August concert at the Los Angeles Staples Center and she used them to make up to 50 duplicates that she sold on the popular Craigslist Web site.
The Torrance Daily Breeze says the Hermosa Beach woman pleaded no contest on March 8 to a grand theft charge as part of a plea deal that calls for her to pay $7,000 restitution and complete 58 days in a work service program. She also got three years' probation.
