Woman Killed, Child Injured In Crash On 118 Freeway
MISSION HILLS (CBS) — Authorities said a woman was killed and a child injured in a crash Sunday evening on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway.
First responders called to the scene found a woman and male child, about 2-years-old, tapped inside a gray sedan that had slammed into a pole.
The accident was reported just after 7:05 p.m. on the westbound lane of the 118, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The boy, who was found in a car seat, was taken to an area hospital. The boy is reportedly in fair condition.
The child's relationship to the woman was not announced. She was pronounced dead at the scene, said authorities.
