Woman Killed, 2 Others Injured In Burbank House Fire
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A 70-something woman was killed and her son and daughter-in-law injured Saturday in a Burbank house fire.
Greg Mills, reporting for CBS2, said the two surviving victims were taken to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The fire was reported just after 9:20 p.m. in a house on the 900 block of North Evergreen Street.
A neighbor heard screams then saw the flames and called 911.
When firefighters arrived they said the house was fully engulfed.
Irmhild Siegrid Marcaccio, 69, died as a result of injuries sustained in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
An arson investigator was on scene, reported Mills.
