Woman Fatally Struck In North Hollywood Hit-And-Run
NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in North Hollywood.
Detective Bustos of the Los Angeles Police Department said the crash happened on Lemp Avenue on Friday night.
After the crash, the vehicle fled, according to Bustos.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sky 9's Stu Mundel.
"They do have a good idea of the vehicle that did strike this pedestrian and killed her out here," Mundel reported. "They're collecting evidence at this time."
The Los Angeles Police Department, Media Relations division described the suspect vehicle as a white 2000 Toyota Tacoma.
Mundel said Saticoy Street is closed between Beck and Irvine avenues while authorities investigate.
No further information was immediately available.
