Woman Fatally Struck By Pickup Truck At Riverside Intersection
RIVERSIDE (CBS) — A 34-year-old woman died after she was hit by a pickup truck at a Southern California intersection Sunday, authorities reported.
Riverside police have not yet identified the victim, who they said was crossing Tyler Street, north of Kidd Street, when the driver of a GMC pickup truck struck her at 8:30 p.m.
The driver apparently failed to see the woman while she was crossing the street, Sgt. Phil Neglia said.
The victim was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital, where she was pronounced deal less than an hour later.
The driver was not arrested, said police, who added that the investigation is continuing.
