Woman Fatally Shot In Canyon Country Home
CANYON COUNTRY (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives Wednesday were investigating the fatal shooting of a woman in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The shooting happened around 10 a.m. at a home in the 26800 block of Claudette Street in Canyon Country, officials said.
The unidentified 80-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional details were not released, however, authorities said the shooting was connected to a so-called "mercy-killing" at a North Hills nursing home.
