Woman Dies In Moreno Valley Residential Fire
MORENO VALLEY (CBS) — A woman died Friday in a residential fire in Moreno Valley, authorities said Saturday.
The fire broke out in a garage that had been converted into a living space, said officials.
The blaze was reported just after 6 p.m. in the 23100 block of Surtees Court.
The fire was contained about an hour later, according to department spokesperson Melody Hendrickson.
She said, "The garage was complete destroyed, but aggressive firefighter efforts quickly located the deceased female and contained the fire."
The woman's name was withheld pending notification of her next of kin.
