Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Mother In Lakewood
LAKEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of killing her mother in Lakewood, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Angie Diamond was booked for murder at Century Regional Detention Facility and is being held on $1 million bail, Deputy Quiana Birkbeck said.
Diamond's mother, Margaret Rion, was found dead Tuesday in her apartment in the 4100 block of Maybank Avenue.
Investigators said the suspect told authorities that she killed her mother following a verbal dispute, Birkbeck said.
The murder weapons, a hammer and a knife, were recovered at the victim's residence.
No other information was made available.
