Woman, 30, Gets 17 Years In Prison For DUI Crash That Killed 3 Sisters In South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 30-year-old Moreno Valley woman was sentenced to 17 years in prison Wednesday for a DUI-related crash in South Los Angeles that killed three sisters.
Tenina Monique Calhoun pleaded no contest July 2 to three counts of gross vehicular manslaughter. In exchange, the three murder counts against her were dismissed.

Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Sabrina Corsa said Calhoun was out with her friends celebrating her birthday on Feb. 3, 2012, and got behind the wheel of an SUV after having too much to drink.
"The defendant was traveling at a high rate of speed. She apparently lost control of the car, struck a palm tree, the car spun out of control in the street and five of the girls were ejected from the vehicle, including the three decedents," she said.
Corsa said the one woman who was not ejected had to be pulled out of the SUV with the Jaws of Life.
