Woman, 25, Arrested For WeHo Arson
WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — A 25-year-old woman is under arrest for setting fire to a West Hollywood apartment complex.
Samantha Scarano was arrested by Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies Monday for attempted murder.
Scarano is accused of setting two units on fire in the Sunset Lanai apartments in the early morning hours of March 4. Deputies say the fire was a result of an argument between Scarano and her ex-roommate.
"Approximately fifty people had to be evacuated from the apartment complex that ultimately sustained approximately $300,000.00 in structural damage," authorities said in a news release.
Scarano is being held on $1.25 million bail.
