Winter Storm To Bring Rain, Snow To California
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Another winter storm is approaching California, where it's expected to bring freezing temperature, thunder, rain and snow as low as 1500 feet.
The National Weather Service says the storm from the Gulf of Alaska is expected to reach the state late Monday.
In Northern California, the heaviest snow is expected to drop Tuesday, bringing up to 10 inches above 3000 feet and 2 to 4 inches in the foothills above 2000 feet.
In Southern California, forecasters say temperatures will likely drop 10 to 15 degrees by Tuesday afternoon and snow could reach low-elevation mountain areas. A wind advisory warned of gusts up to 35 mph for coastal areas.
The storm is expected to move out of the state by Wednesday.
