Winnetka Man Wants To Change Plea In Plane Pot Case
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A federal court document indicates a California man wants to change his not guilty pleas in what the government says was a scheme to fly thousands of pounds of marijuana to Ohio in suitcases.
Young Ko, of Winnetka, Calif., previously pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and five counts of possession with intent to distribute more than 200 pounds of pot.
The court document filed Thursday in Columbus shows a change-of-plea hearing is scheduled for Feb. 24.
Ko was one of six California residents charged in September in a conspiracy authorities say distributed about 7,000 pounds of marijuana and made more than $3 million. Three have pleaded guilty, including Lisette Lee, a woman authorities say was the primary courier.
