Wind Advisory In Effect For Mountains, High Desert Of LA County
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — The National Weather Service Sunday issued a wind advisory through the morning for the mountains and high desert of Los Angeles County.
The advisory through 11 a.m. predicts dry, gusty winds through the Interstate 5 corridor and across the Antelope Valley.
According to the NWS, the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale will also be impacted.
The advisory anticipates gusts of 45 mph or greater.
High winds can pose a danger for drivers, especially those of large, high profile vehicles.
Motorists along the State Route 14 and the 138, as well as, the 5 Freeway are urged to exercise caution.
