Wild 'Lex Luthor: Drop Of Doom' Ride Opens At Six Flags

VALENCIA (CNS) — "Lex Luthor: Drop Of Doom" opened this weekend at Six Flags Magic Mountain, dropping riders in floorless gondolas 85 miles per hour in five seconds.

Let's repeat.

Floorless.

85 mph.

Five seconds.

Length of a football field.

Whoa!

And people lined up. The young and the fearless, sometimes both.

Celebrity guest Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor for 10 years on CW's long-running hit television series "Smallville", was on-hand for the official launch of the first ride.

The ride is "named after one of DC Comics' most dangerously intelligent super-villains and Superman's greatest enemy," according to promotional materials.
