Widening Project Prompts Overnight Freeway Closures In San Fernando Valley
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A $161 million carpool-lane construction project will result in some lanes closure this week at or near the Golden State (5) and Antelope Valley (14) freeways, according to Caltrans.
Here is a list of the following closures:
- Between 11:59 p.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday, the southbound 5 Freeway will be closed between the 14 Freeway and Balboa Boulevard, along with the southbound truck route.
- Between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday, the southbound 14 Freeway connector to the southbound 5 Freeway will be closed.
- From 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m. Tuesday, the southbound 14 Freeway will be closed between Sierra Highway and the southbound 5 Freeway.
Closures at the same hours will continue through Friday.
