Whitney Houston's Daughter Placed In Medically-Induced Coma

ROSWELL, Ga. (CBSLA.com)  —  Whitney Houston's daughter was placed in a medically-induced coma, authorities said.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, was found, face down, and unresponsive Saturday morning in a bathtub in her home Saturday.

Her husband and a friend found her and performed CPR until paramedics arrives.

Saturday evening, "Entertainment Tonight" reporter David Begnaud said Brown was being kept on a ventilator.

He quoted sources as saying police did not believe Brown was attempting to commit suicide.

Almost three years ago, at a pre-Grammys party, Houston was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Houston's death was called an accidental drowning.

Police said they searched Bobbi Kristina's home exhaustively and found no signs of a struggle and no drugs.

Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina's father, is reportedly holding vigil by his daughter's bedside.

People.com reported that Bobbi Kristina's father is "inconsolable."

"Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time," Bobby Brown said in a statement.

The magazine quoted a family source that said Bobbi Kristina -- Krissy to her family --  was showing "very little brain activity" and that her recovery would be "a miracle."

Last week, Bobbi Kristina tweeted, "Miss you, mommy. SO much."
