While Survivor Of Wednesday Massacre Mourns At Vigil, Her Home Is Burglarized
VICTORVILLE (CBSLA.com) — Natassa Torralbo survived a massacre Wednesday at her workplace, the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino.
While attending a vigil and memorial service Friday night -- where she got tp pay respects to many of her fallen and wounded colleagues -- her Victorville home was being burglarized.
Security video captured images of the suspect walking away from the home on Amargosa Road following the burglary.
Torralbo was still too distraught about the massacre to go on camera, but her daughter talked to KCAL9's Jennifer Kastner Saturday evening about the theft.
"It hurts the most not knowing what my mother is going through at this moment. I can't even imagine," said Torralbo's daughter, Kayla Gaskill.
The suspect allegely entered the home through the now boarded up back door.
The family's handgun and jewelry were taken.
"Coming home to someone who would do such a thing, and I know that person probably didn't know [about the massacre] but it still doesn't make it right," Gaskill said.
Although the security video doesn't show the man entering the home, they are sure he is the burglar. He was the only one who appears at the door that day. Police have not confirmed the man in the video is who they are looking for.
For this family ,the week has had just too much heartache.
"I haven't even left her alone because neither one of us can imagine what it would have been like if something was to have happened to her," says Gaskill.
If you recognize the man in the video, you're asked to call the Victorville Police Department.
