Halloween week is finally here and L.A. is ready for it's share of monsters, zombies, and vampires. From dance parties to haunted tours, Dia de los Muertos and interactive zombie crawls, there are plenty of ways to celebrate Halloween this year. The spooks are out, and L.A. is about to get scary.

The Haunted Hollywood tour offered by Starline Tours takes you on a tow hour journey exploring spooky stops in Hollywood. Tour #22 visits creepy locations and shares stories of murder, suicide, and paranormal encounters, allowing you the chance to even hear digital voice recordings of ghosts trapped in various locations.

One of the world's most famous film composers, Danny Elfman, will take the stage at the Nokia Theatre this Halloween season as he joins the Hollywood Studio Symphony and Page LA Choir for a spooky concert featuring the imagery of many of Tim Burton's films (that Elfman composed for) including Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Batman.

The largest Halloween street party in the world, head to Santa Monica Boulevard where you and nearly 500,000 of your closest costumed friends can enjoy live entertainment (six stages with over 50 performers) , vendors, a costume contest, and the crowning of the "Queen of Carnaval" at the 2013 "One Noir Night" Halloween Carnaval. The free event starts at 6pm.

Head to the Hollywood Forever Cemetary for the 14th annual Dia de los Muertos event from noon until midnight. Over 100 alters, three stages of live entertainment, art exhibitions, shopping, food vendors, a costume contest, and a children's area give everyone the chance to enjoy the festivities and celebration of those who have passed beyond the grave.

HARDFEST's anticipated Day of the Dead concert series takes place on both Saturday and Sunday; round out your weekend at this Halloween inspired dance music festival taking place on the grassy grounds of the Los Angeles State Historic Park. Hardfest is for adults ages 18 and up; valid state issued ID required for entry.
