What You're Doing This Week: March 26
With the sporadic March and April rains, inside events versus outside events are a daily debate. Might be best to stay indoors earlier in the week. There are some fantastic concerts taking place. By the weekend it will be time to enjoy LA's lovely outdoor weather again!
Tuesday March 27
If you haven't had a chance to see Lady Antebellum in person, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss. This trio blends their molodic voices to create romantic and rich music that harkens from a country background but crosses over into pop. They are bringing their Own The Night 2012 World Tour to the STAPLES Center this Tuesday night. Special guests include Thompson Square and Darius Rucker, formerly of Hootie & The Blowfish. Rucker releases his first country album this year, which is a logical segue for this talented musician who's music has always had a Southern warmth and soulfulness to it.
Tuesday March 27
Keith Jarrett will be performing an evening of solo improvisations as he celebrates the release of his latest album Rio, recorded live in concert at the Theatro Municipal Opera House in Rio De Janeiro in April 2011 and released in November 2011. Rio has already been hailed as "a masterpiece" by critics worldwide. Composer, jazz afficionado and renowned classical pianist, Keith Jarrett brings the depth of his lifetime of musical genius to the Walt Disney Concert hall in an epic performance.
