West Covina Police Hunt For Suspect In Series Of Sex Assaults

WEST COVINA (CBS) — West Covina police believe one man is responsible for a series of assaults that have stretched over a decade.

Seen in a composite sketch, police say the suspect is wanted in six sex assaults -- three of which took place on Shadow Oaks Street near the park.

The first assault dates back to 2000 and the most recent was reported this past March when a jogger ran along Tuesday Drive near Missouri Street.

"In some instances, the victims were waiting for the bus. Another instance, a jogger was running with their earphones on their ears and she couldn't hear the attacker come from behind," West Covina Cpl. Rudy Lopez said.

The suspect, who is believed to be in his 30s, is about 5'7 with a dark complexion and a heavy Spanish accent.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the West Covina Police Department at (626) 939-8556.
