Water Main Break In Torrance Leads To Car-Swallowing Sinkhole
TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — A large sinkhole was formed in Torrance after a water main broke early Sunday morning.
The busted water main flooded the intersection of Monterey Street and Flower Avenue just before 1:50 a.m.
Torrance Police said the sinkhole was significantly large enough to partially swallow a car.
The sinkhole is the second in the same vicinity in recent weeks.
The intersection is closed until further notice, police said.
It was unclear whether anyone in the vehicle was injured.
